Dusk falls, and the sky over Chiang Mai begins to glow — one lantern, two, a few hundred… then thousands of sky lanterns rising together, turning the whole night into a river of moving gold. The lantern in your hands is one you light yourself, then release with a slow opening of your palms. Alongside it comes the krathong, the floating water lantern you kneel to set on the river, carrying away whatever you want to leave behind this year. This is the reason travellers fly into Chiang Mai every November for the Loy Krathong & Sky Lantern Festival. In 2026 that night falls on 24–25 November, at Miracle Land in Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai.

🚐 Shuttles every 5 minutes — take an early one
Meeting point: the Lanna Polytechnic College car park. Official shuttles run every 5 minutes, outbound 13:00–16:00 and returning from 20:45. The venue opens at 13:00, so arriving early leaves time for photos, the craft stalls and the food.

The two dates are sold separately, so either way you book that specific date on the official ticket page. If your schedule allows, we suggest 25 November — after the first night has run, on-site flow and crowd management tend to be smoother.
How do I get to the venue? Is there a shuttle?
The meeting point is the Lanna Polytechnic College car park, with official shuttles to the venue. Outbound shuttles run roughly every 5 minutes from 13:00 to 16:00, and return shuttles start from 20:45. The drive from central Chiang Mai takes about 45–60 minutes.
Is there a dress code?
Yes. Long trousers or a long skirt are required, and vests and shorts are not permitted. Evenings in the hills get cool, so bring a light jacket.
How much is a ticket?

Can I get a refund?
No. Once a package is confirmed it cannot be changed or refunded.

The e-ticket (QR code) is emailed to you once payment is complete. Show it on arrival.

Is traffic bad on the day?
Yes. During the November festival period the roads towards Mae Taeng are unusually busy, which makes driving or hailing a car hard to time. Take the official shuttle, and take an early one — outbound services run every 5 minutes between 13:00 and 16:00.
What should I bring?
Your e-ticket is a QR code, so your phone needs battery — bring a power bank, as a night of photos drains it. Evenings in the hills are cool, so bring a jacket. Otherwise travel light; food and stalls are on site.
